Directions to Laurinburg/Maxton Airport

The Laurinburg/Maxton Airport is located in southeastern North Carolina, approximately 50 miles southwest of Fayetteville, NC; about 100 miles east-southeast of Charlotte, NC; and just a few miles north of the NC/SC border. Check your map for roads to the area.  Below are detailed directions from a few of the nearby main highways.

From I-95 (north or south): Follow I-95 to NC Exit 13 (Highway 74 West, “Lumberton” exit). Follow Highway 74 to the Laurinburg/Maxton Airport exit 190 (approximately 20 miles from I-95).

From Highway 74 (east or west): Follow Highway 74 to the Laurinburg/Maxton Airport exit.

Once at the airport exit on Highway 74, at the bottom of exit ramp, turn right (north) onto Airport Road.  Follow for approximately 0.8 mile to the stop sign intersection. Turn right onto Skyway Church Road. Follow this approximately 1.2 miles to Hickman Road (left turn only).Turn left onto Hickman Road.  After the stop sign, proceed straight onto Airbase Road.  After approximately one-half mile through a series of curves, the entrance to the ECTA Track is a gravel road on the left.  On race weekends, it is marked with a large ECTA sign.For a detaied map of the local area, click here For customized directions from your home, try Mapquest.
